Mayor's Drug Commission Receives Donation

Bellevue PD’s Capt Herb Evers and Lt Bill McClintick were on hand July 26th as Kevin Jarosz, Regional Operational Manager for Aquila, donated $1500 to the Mayor’s Drug Commission. The Commission sponsors and assists with drug free activities for the local youth of the city and provides literature on drug awareness issues. Such events as after prom activities and teen dances will be sponsored by the Commission. Lt McClintick stated, "The Commission greatly appreciates the donation to the Mayor’s Drug Commission. Aquila’s community involvement with the Commission aids in the efforts to provide safe events for the youth of our city."

Other members of the Commission in attendance for the presentation were Eulish and Kathleen Moore of Rainbow of Hope, Councilman Gus Erikson, Mayor Ed Babbit, and Lisa Rybar of the City Administrator’s Office.
