Officer Brown Named Officer of the Quarter
Officer Brown has been named Bellevue Police Department's "Officer of the Quarter"
for the second quarter of the year. Four times each year the department selects one officer who has
demonstrated performance above and beyond that which is routinely expected. Officers are nominated by
their supervisor or a commanding officer. Officer Brown was nominated by Lieutenant Chuck Clark.
Officer Brown was selected due to his off-duty work in a domestic violence case where
he was credited with saving the female victim. He has been recognized as having served his department
well during defensive tactics training exercises. Officer Brown is also highly regarded for is work as
a Drug Recognition Expert and Munitions Officer for the SWAT Team. Lieutenant Elbert said Brown
"continues to perform at a high level and he is a tremendous asset to our organization."
Officers Gray, Jashinske, Meyer and Reed received honorable mentions for the award.
