Officer Brown Named Officer of the Quarter
Officer Brown has been named Bellevue Police Department's
Officer of the Quarter
for the fourth quarter of the year. Officer Brown was selected because of his oustanding and
professional police work in three separate cases during the quarter including a home invasion
and assault, a DUI case, and a sexual assault. BPD's Excellence in Law Enforcement committee
commended Brown for his job knowledge, investigative skills, good judgement, and for the compassion
he shows to victims.
Four times each year the department selects one officer who has demonstrated
performance above and beyond that which is routinely expected. Officer Brown was also named
Officer of the Quarter for the second quarter of 2007.
Officers are nominated by their supervisor or a commanding officer.
Officer M Brazda, Detective Hessig and Sergeant Mike Laufenberg received honorable
mentions for the award. This website includes more information about Officers of the Quarter going
back to 2000 as well as many other awards and accomplishments. View the Awards
pages within About Us
for complete descriptions of awards and the officers who earned them.
