K9 Unit Fundraiser Puts Dogs on Art
When its time to give a gift, most people don’t think to go shopping at their local police
department. But Bellevue PD’s K9 Unit is offering an opportunity to do that and support the dogs at the same
time. BPD has teamed up with the Picture Perfect Engraving company to offer charms, ID tags, portrait plates
and other items. Each item has an image of BPD’s K9s Rex, Spike and/or Zeke engraved on them. All are available
for purchase through the K9 pages on the Bellevue PD website. With each BPD K9 purchase made, the
K9 Unit will receive a substantial portion of the proceeds.
BPD K9 Unit Supervisor Sergeant Joe Milos sees this as a great opportunity for the unit to raise funds. "We’re
looking at adding a fourth K9 team to the force and the K9 expenses aren’t usually covered by the police
department’s operating budget, so we’re always open to trying new and creative ways to raise money."
The K9 products have been designed especially for the
K9 Unit by Picture Perfect Engraving of Iowa.
They’re made one at a time and each is warranteed for two years. Even non-K9 products purchased will benefit the K9 Unit. The project
code of BK9-AC used when ordering, will give a 10% discount.
