BPD is Hiring Police Officers
The Bellevue Police Department is currently gearing up for candidate testing this
fall. The sign-up deadline is Friday, August 29th. Any person interested in being a police officer
must sign up to take the written exam by the 29th; the exam is Saturday, September 13th. Applicants
who test on the 13th will be considered for positions with BPD, Papillion PD, and the Sarpy County
Sheriff's Department.
Lieutenant Mark Elbert is the Professional Standards Bureau Commander and oversees
the hiring of officers for BPD. Elbert says he may hire as many as 3-5
officers from the pool of candidates generated by the next round of testing.
Morrow and Associates
is taking registrations and can be reached online or by phone at 402-330-1019. Without the written
exam a potential applicant can not be considered.
