Bellevue PD Hires Jayme Krueger as Community Policing Coordinator
Jayme Krueger is a certified Law Enforcement Officer in the State of Nebraska, having
worked as a patrol officer in Lincoln before she was injured on-duty by a drunk driver. She’s been
BPD’s new Community Policing Coordinator since early December.
Lieutenant Bill McClintick, BPD’s
Administrative Support Bureau Commander, oversees the
Community Policing and Problem-Solving (COPPS) Unit. McClintick said Krueger’s biggest focus will
be to facilitate the Neighborhood Watch program, followed by community outreach involving training
citizens on crime prevention, victimization, National Night Out, Shop with a Cop and the Police
Citizens Academy.
Lt McClintick called Krueger highly organized and motivated and said she was the
leading candidate for the job. He added "we are truly blessed to bring someone of Jayme’s experience
and caliber in to fill this critical position. From her first day here she has hit the ground running
and I have every confidence she will take our Community Partnership to the next level of excellence".
Krueger has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln
in Human Resources and Family Sciences and a Master’s degree in Forensic Science from the Nebraska
Wesleyan University in Lincoln.
