Awards

In order to acknowledge employees who carry out their duties in a manner deemed to be above the call and beyond the norm, and in order to assure the recognition these employees deserve, the Bellevue Police Department has established a policy to maintain an Excellence in Law Enforcement Committee to review the individual performance of officers of the Bellevue Police Department.

BPD's Excellence in Law Enforcement Committee has established awards to honor the men and women who have performed at levels of excellence with the Officer of the Quarter and the Officer of the Year awards. Additionally, Distinguished Service Awards have been established to recognize achievement in specialized areas. The Distinguished Service Awards include The Medal of Valor, The Purple Heart Medal, Meritorious Conduct Ribbon, and the Lifesaving Ribbon.

Accomplishments

Officers in the Bellevue Police Department also regularly achieve other acclamations such as special training events. Most recently, one of our Lieutenants completed the stringent training provided by the FBI National Academy.
