2005 Crime Stoppers Service Award

Bellevue Police Detective Mike Legband is the 2005 recipient of the Sarpy County Crime Stoppers Service Award. Detective Legband was honored by the Sarpy County Crime Stoppers for his work creating the department's pawn tracking system, his selfless attention to duty and his professional attitude.

Detective Legband's system to track property which is pawned has allowed the BPD to make several arrests and recover a great deal of property. His supervisor says Detective Legband embodies the values of the Bellevue Police Department.

Sarpy County Crime Stoppers honors one member of each police agency in Sarpy County each year, based on nominations. Detective Legband also received this award in 2001.
