Home > About Us > Administration > Lt Keith Bader Lieutenant Keith BaderE-Mail: kbader@bellevue.net Lieutenant Keith Bader has served with the Bellevue Police Department since 1982. He was promoted from officer to sergeant in 1996 and from sergeant to lieutenant in 2000. Lt Bader’s nearly two and one half decades of police service have been dedicated exclusively to the Uniformed Patrol Bureau. He currently serves as the Shift Commander for the Uniformed Patrol Bureau’s "D" Team. As Shift Commander, he is responsible for commanding, directing and coordinating his team to ensure efficient, effective and proper police service delivery. His duties as Shift Commander include the development and supervision of his team’s two precinct sergeants. He also assists with and monitors the supervision, training and development of the officers assigned to his team. Lt Bader also performs functions such as staffing, scheduling work, assigning work duties, training personnel, handling employee complaints and completing performance evaluations. Lt Bader thoroughly enjoys working in the Uniformed Patrol Division, especially the patrol aspect of the job. He has dedicated himself toward ensuring officers are professional, well trained and delivering the highest level of police services to the community. He has been a Field Training Officer for the Department for nearly 20 yrs and is currently a Field Training Officer Coordinator. As Coordinator, he is responsible for insuring new police recruits receive the proper training they need as well as helping to solve problems they may encounter during their training process. During Lt Bader’s law enforcement career, he has received many distinguished awards. These have included the Bellevue Police Officer of the Year Award (1989) and the Statewide Veterans of Foreign Wars Law Enforcement Officer of the Year Award. Lt Bader is the chairperson of the department’s Policy Review Committee and a representative on the Bellevue Police Retirement Committee. He has been the coordinator for the Excellence in Law Enforcement Committee the past ten years and is a member of the Police Officers Association of Nebraska. Prior to joining the Bellevue Police Department, Lt Bader served four years as a Law Enforcement Specialist with the United States Air Force. |
