Home > About Us > Administration > Lt Tom Dargy Lieutenant Tom DargyEMail: tom [dot] dargy [at] bellevue.net Lieutenant Tom Dargy has served with the Bellevue Police Department since 1996. He was promoted from officer to sergeant in 2005 and from sergeant to lieutenant in 2010. The first three years of his career at BPD were on uniformed patrol. He then worked community policing and motorcycle units for six years before returning to patrol in 2005. He is trained in Accident Investigations, Child Safety Seat Restraints, and Police Bike Patrol. Dargy is currently the Shift Commander of the D night shift road patrol where he supervises 2 sergeants and 11 officers. As a Shift Commander, he is responsible for the commanding, directing, and coordinating of his team to ensure the efficient, effective and proper police services for the citizens of Bellevue. As part of his additional duties, Dargy is an FTO Coordinator, and an instructor in the areas of firearms, simmunitions, traffic laser, as well as, an instructor in Police Motorcycle Operations, certified by Northwestern University and the Harley-Davidson Motor Company. Dargy was named the International Footprint Association's Bellevue Police Officer of the Year in 2005. His awards also include the meritorious service award in 2007. Prior to joining the Bellevue Police Department, Lt Dargy served six years in the U.S. Army Reserve where he fulfilled one year on active duty in Operation Desert Shield/ Desert Storm. He was an Honor Graduate of the U.S. Army Military Police School and holds a B.S. in Criminal Justice from U.N.O. |
