Home > About Us > Administration > Lt Ed Monnier Lieutenant Ed MonnierE-Mail: emonnier@bellevue.net He has served the Bellevue Police Department for more than two decades beginning in 1983 as an officer with the road patrol. During his tenure on the BPD, he has served as Commander of the Administrative Support Bureau, Commander of the Professional Standards Bureau, was a member of the SWAT team for five years, a field training officer, and was coordinator of bicycle patrol efforts for many years. He currently serves as the Shift Commander for the Uniformed Patrol Bureau’s "A" Team. As Shift Commander, he is responsible for commanding, directing and coordinating his team to ensure efficient, effective and proper police service delivery. Lt Monnier holds a BS in Management and Organizational Leadership and Biblical Studies from Grace University. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy 213th session and a member of the Nebraska chapter of the FBI National Academy Associates. Lt Monnier is a member of the Police Officers Association of Nebraska and a past member of its board of directors. He is a former member of the board of directors of the Midwest Crime Conference. He is an active member in his local church and is committed to improving social issues and concerns for those in his community. Prior to joining the Bellevue Police he spent two years as a Reserve Deputy Sheriff for the Lancaster County Sheriff's Department while attending the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. |
