We protect the public through aggressive enforcement and intervention activities. We promote a sense of safety by providing constant accessibility for emergency, non-emergency, and informational services. We value public education to minimize the victimization of citizens and we endorse involvement in crime prevention programs. We care about the safety and well-being of the citizens and our community.

We respond to community needs

We value the support of the community and encourage innovative ideas from the citizenry as well as from within the department. We cannot function without the community's time, assistance, and faith in us; "public relations" cannot be left to advertisers, it is the responsibility of each of us at all times. We are sensitive to the needs and wants of the community while remaining fiscally responsible. We are flexible, realizing that as times change, we too must try new ideas -- adopting the best, learning from our failures.
