Home > Bureaus > Uniformed Patrol Bureau Uniformed Patrol BureauThe Bellevue Police Department's Uniformed Patrol Bureau is the most visible arm of the department. Officers on patrol are charged with deterring crime, enhancing the feeling of public safety, and answering calls for service in the City of Bellevue. Traffic enforcement is one tool we use extensively to accomplish these goals. Bellevue Police Department's Uniformed Patrol Bureau is organized into two precincts, North and South, with four sergeants assigned to each precinct. Additionally, there are three districts in each precinct, and one at-large district. The organizational structure of the department is designed to maximize our ability to serve the citizens of Bellevue by including our philosophy of community policing. Each of the six districts supports a geographic area of the city. With this structure, our goal is that every sergeant, along with the officers in his or her districts, will know the businesses, the "trouble spots", and the vulnerable citizens in their own area. Likewise, residents and business owners will know which BPD officers are assigned to their neighborhood. The K-9 Unit is on patrol around the clock as well. For more information about the K9 Unit, please click the Special Services Unit Tab above and then explore the K9 pages. Our intent, with this design, is to maximize the outcomes of the community policing program. Scroll down to get the know the officers who work each area of the city.
