Persons arrested by the Bellevue Police are taken to the Sarpy County Jail, located at 1208 Golden Gate Drive in Papillion. The Bellevue Police do not have their own holding facility, but share jail space with the Sarpy County Sheriff's Office, the Papillion Police, and the La Vista Police. How can I find out if someone is in jail? You may contact the booking department at the jail by calling 593-2298. The booking area is staffed 24 hours a day to answer such questions. Also, the booking staff can tell you if an arrestee has a bond, or if they have to see a judge to have a bond set. What are the visiting hours at the jail? For visiting related questions, call the Sarpy County Sheriff's Office at 593-2342. When will arrestees go to court? Court dates are assigned by the arresting officer. The arresting officer will assign a court date which is usually one month or more into the future. If an arrestee does not bond out, he or she will remain in jail until they either are released by the court, complete their sentence, or post bond. Bond Related QuestionsHow can I post bail for someone? If an arrestee is bondable (that is, has a court scheduled bond set), he or she can be bonded out twenty four hours a day, seven days a week. To post bond, you first need to call the Sarpy County Jail's Booking Department at 593-2298. Once you have found out what the bond is, you can come to the jail and post bond. The entrance to the jail for bonding purposes is located on the east side of the building between the Sheriff's Office and the Sarpy County Courthouse. Before you arrive, make sure you bring the following:

They will then be released to you. How can I get property from an arrestee / inmate if they are in jail? Arrestees can release such items as cash, ATM cards, and car keys to someone should the need arise. Again, you should call the Sarpy County Jail's Booking Department at 593-2298 before you come to pick the item up. Also, remember to bring some form of picture I.D. with you.
