Officer Holm, Officer of the Third Quarter

The Excellence in Law Enforcement Committee has selected Officer Holm as the officer of the third quarter of 2002. Officer Holm was nominated by his supervisor. He was selected by the committee for several reasons, including his aggressive drug interdiction on traffic stops. This effort led to a pursuit and the eventual recovery of a large amount of illegal narcotics. During this quarter, Officer Holm also received a commendation for assisting in the arrest of a suspect attempting to burglarize a business. Officer Holm’s effort in building and operating the Bellevue Police Department Web Site was also discussed. Officer Holm’s great attitude and his high work output were also factors mentioned in his selection.

Honorable Mentions
2002 Officer of the Third Quarter

Those officers receiving honorable mention were Officers Bees and Stuck and Detective McDaniel.

Officer Bees for his very strong work ethic and his efforts on DWI enforcement. Officer Bees’ work on a complex fraud case was discussed, as well as his winning the wellness award with the fastest time on the obstacle course.

Detective McDaniel for his aggressive investigation of a string of car thefts that resulted in numerous arrests for theft, receiving stolen property and robbery. McDaniel was also noted for his great attitude and assistance when called out to assist road patrol.

Officer Stuck for his excellent follow-up on calls, as well as his friendly, easy going attitude with the public.
