Officer Brown completed a detailed report regarding a complex case in which 8 people were arrested on various charges. The incident involved a group of suspects who conspired to commit 1st degree assault. The incident involved a chase around south Bellevue, in which 3 vehicles were "totaled" in collisions. The charges on the suspects included: 2 DUI’s, 3 for willful reckless driving, and 7 conspiracy charges. His report was written well, and nicely tied all the charges together. Lieutenants Clark and Stukenholtz commended Officer Brown for his actions as a SWAT Team member at a call regarding an armed suicidal person. Officer Brown is a SWAT Team member and was on a armed suicidal person call. He was commended for his good judgment in a shooting situation and protecting fellow officers. Officer Brown gave clear commands to an armed female as she approached Officer Brown and his team. He kept her covered with his weapon and prevented her further movement towards the team. He remained focused and calm. The female asked Officer Brown several times to "shoot her". He kept telling her to put her gun down and that he did not want to shoot her. She was eventually taken into custody by SWAT members after deployment of less lethal weapons. Honorable Mention
