The Motorcycle Unit History

The Bellevue Police Motor Unit was established 1994 with one motorcycle. At that time the department rode Harley Davidson FXR motorcycles. In 2001 the department added an additional motor officer and began riding Harley Davidson Road King motorcycles. In 2003, a third motorcycle was added and the Harley Road King was retained. In 2004 several new officers were trained and a total of six Harley Davidson Electra-Glide motorcycles were now the department’s choice. We currently have six H/D Electra-Glides in service.
