Training of School Resource Officers

Before a police officer become an SRO, s/he must complete forty-hours of training given by the National Association of School Resource Officers.

The training emphasize three main areas of instruction: function as a police officer in the school setting, working as a resource and problem solver, and the development of teaching skills.

This basic SRO course includes classes in:
